Superior 2026 Hard-to-Recycle
Superior residents are invited to participate in the annual Household Hazardous Waste and Hard To Recycle event in partnership with Eco-Cycle and Boulder County Hazardous Waste at Eldorado K-8 School.
Registration is required – link coming soon. Please select one timeslot per car – you may bring as many recyclable items as you would like during that slot.
Most items are free to recycle, but prices (if applicable) are listed below. The Town will cover 50% as funding allows.
- CRT TVs and monitors ($0.69/lb)
- Flatscreen TVs, audio equipment, small appliances and monitors ($0.59/lb)
- Fire extinguishers ($8.00/unit)
- CDs and DVDs ($3.00/lb)
- Misc. electronics not included in free items ($0.59/lb)
The Town does not offer vouchers for new electric-powered lawn equipment. However, participating Colorado retailers offer a 30% discount on new electric lawn equipment. Switching to electric lawn equipment reduces noise pollution and air pollution. View the list of participating retailers reported on the Colorado Public Interest Research Group’s webpage.
